River and Wetland Engineering, LLC is a professional civil engineering firm specializing in water resources engineering, stream stabilization, and river restoration. Founded by John Critchfield, P.E., CFM, the company brings over 19 years of specialized expertise in designing and implementing natural channel design projects. With a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and advanced training in Rosgen Levels I-IV methodology from Wildland Hydrology, our team is equipped to tackle complex water resources challenges in both urban and rural environments.
Our founder has successfully completed twenty river and arroyo stabilization projects across northern New Mexico using proven natural channel design principles. As a Certified Floodplain Manager and FAA-certified Remote Pilot, John Critchfield combines traditional engineering expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver comprehensive solutions.
